First of all, if you’re still reading, I am very impressed, because this is a very peculiar game that only gets stranger as I describe more of the details. The specific minigame that I’m playing right now is a hostess training minigame that is kind of like a Barbie doll dressup minigame, but with a very mild hentai flavor. There’s so much GAME packed into Kamurocho that I could easily imagine some people might play nothing but Yakuza games, just as some people play nothing but Elder Scrolls Online, Destiny 2, or Persona 5. Inevitably, I will get bored of the minigames and decide to progress the story, until it decides to throw me a new batch of minigames and challenges. I’m just about finished with Part One, Akiyama’s story, but like all of the Yakuza games, I would be robbing myself a huge aspect of the game if I don’t invest some time in the different minigames and challenges. Akiyama’s alter ego is the Vermillion Bird.Įach of the main characters in Yakuza 4 are given a fourth of the larger story, and they all join together in the Finale when they meet up and realize how all their stories tie together. Each of the four main characters represent different elements, or rather the East Asian gods associated with those elements. Akiyama’s fighting style is so different because his fast, graceful kicks represent the element of air. But, I stuck with it, and Yakuza 4 became one of my favorite games in the series. I remember thinking that his fighting style was totally different, as were his interactions with the NPCs. Instead, the player character is a somewhat flamboyant moneylender named Shun Akiyama. I remembered not being sure if I would like Yakuza 4 the first time I played it, because the player doesn’t start off with Kiryu as the main character. Yakuza, Yakuza 2, and Yakuza 3 were all very similar in that they followed ultimate badass Kiryu Kazuma through Kamurocho, a fictional commercial district of Tokyo. Anyhow, now that I’m playing the remastered editions of these games, so many memories are coming back. The last time that I played Yakuza 4 was in February of 2015 (its North American release was in 2011, but I’ve played through it a few times). It’s been years since I’ve played some of them. Here are some of the best hostesses players can use to make going through this Cabaret Club minigame a breeze. Each of the Yakuza games run together in my mind, so it’s hard to remember exactly what happened in each. This is precisely what makes the act of being the Cabaret Club Czar such a blast, with the player putting all their efforts into making sure that their clientele is completely satisfied when Club Sunshine opens. Updated on August 27th, 2022 by Ritwik Mitra: If anyone would've stated a decade ago that one of the highlights in an excellent beat-em-up title would be managing a Cabaret Club where the employees leveled up with RPG mechanics, then it's obvious that this person would be laughed out of the room. On that note, here are the best hostesses in Yakuza 0, and the tasks players must accomplish to obtain them. However, managing the cabaret club will become difficult without great hostesses that can pull their weight. This side quest is imperative to unlocking Majima's combat potential and attaining a ton of money in the process. One of the most entertaining side activities in the title is managing Majima's cabaret club. Related: Nintendo Switch Games That Are Like The Yakuza Series
